there are many things that can go wrong in xcom, and your squad can be wiped out in the blink of an eye. the resistance may shoot you out of the sky. the aliens may wipe your squad out as they invade. your squad may be infected with diseases. and, of course, aliens can do the same. theres a lot that can go wrong on this side of the battlefield, and then there are the tactical retreats. in the final mission of the campaign, youll get the chance to try and recover the body of a fallen soldier. if youre lucky, hes fully recovered.

the armored commander mod for xcom 2 makes xcom 2 more difficult than it already is. for starters, you can no longer select a full squad of soldiers at the start of a mission. instead, youre forced to take a random squad. this means that if youre a good tactician, youre screwed before you start. you can only pick the best soldiers for each mission, and its often a toss-up between someone that is too slow or too high-powered. for those that want a challenge on a mission-by-mission basis, the armored commander mod will make things harder, challenging you to make the best of what you have, often with less resources than youd like.

im trying to track down every mod for xcom 2 and see if it adds an additional bonus or two to the game. ive noticed that there are a lot of mods for that lets you customize the ufo menu and loadout. im looking at the ones i dont already have and wondering how much of a difference it makes, and what the tradeoffs are. so far, ive only found one for free, but its pretty good.

xcom 2 players love to kill aliens for a lulz. well, the alien genome dna mod will make your soldiers go wild and make them eat more alien brains. when you play, the soldiers will grab the alien and take a bite. some of them enjoy it, others not so much. after theyre done, theyre healed and you can take them out again.
