Welcome to the NekoMates café! You no… There’s a new café in town. It’s called NekoMates, and it houses four catboys! In order to open the café, you need to go out and meet some cat ladies. As always, the catboys will be working hard to get things running smoothly. Will you end up falling in love with a catboy? As always, this game uses a mixture of things to choose from in order to get you to fall in love. In the game you will find the opportunity to fall in love with a human, a catboy, and even a catgirl! Gameplay Play NekoMates Cafe In Nekopara – Cat’s Greeting, the player plays through the story on an original adventure. The game plays like a visual novel in which the player is put into four different story routes; each story begins and ends with the same character, but the story itself varies depending on the endings the player chooses throughout the game. Like a typical visual novel, the player would watch a series of still images as the story plays out, and at certain points the player would be given multiple options to choose from. The player would choose what option to go down, which would lead to a different story branch. Most of the text in the game is displayed with anime-style graphics, but some text is displayed in full-color. Text dialogue and the various dialogue options are displayed on-screen in black text, and the player would use the mouse to select what option to go with. The first option is a dialogue option that appears towards the end of the character’s run-in with the player. After selecting an option, the player would then select either the multiple-choice dialogue option, or use the mouse to skip to the next scene. The idea for A Faithful Redem, my first major game, came to me back in August of 2005. I had been playing Persona for the PS2 and liked the idea of making a JRPG that was designed solely to maximize your potential for social interaction. If you play Persona, you will know that all of your choice decisions affect the future of the game. In other words, all of your choices influence the story you get to play. They don’t just give you one story path, you get a variety of possible stories depending on your choices. For this reason I felt that I needed a game where the choices I make were capable of changing the course of the game entirely. Though as I am sure you have already guessed, Persona 4 is not that kind of game. Persona 4 is a game where as long as you follow the path you set out on for your story, you will get the exact same ending regardless of what choices you make. Of course Persona 4 will always be set in a story where the default ending is the same for everyone. However, this game will give you countless options to pursue for the plot and a choice of further social links to pursue and unlock as you play. This means, you can play as the normal incarnation of the four chosen souls and simply make your way through the story or, if you want, you can go play as the Joker or one of the other three characters and make your own social links as you see fit. The choices you make within the game will not only affect the people you meet, but they will also influence the events of the game, so make sure you choose your decisions wisely! A Faithful Redem was made from the ground up to be the safest game for the player. There is no saving and no load times. No matter where you are in the game, you will never lose a moment of gameplay. There is no ability to skip a particular sequence of events, so you get the option to play it all or not to play it. If you do not want to play it at any point, you can turn off the auto-lock feature. There is no option to turn off the game, but there is an option to lock the game off entirely. Prolog About The Game Youta is just a slightly older kid, barely seventeen, to whom the life in the huge kingdom of Tenkar has already been promised. He has only a tiny part of the life which he was promised. Yet, his duty is to protect it. Youta belongs to the royal guard of that kingdom. To him is supposed to be, his proudest task to protect and control the young, very proud King, his family and his kingdom, from the incessant, but powerless rebel forces of the rebels. An enemy, which also threatens the safety of the country, also the King and his family. Youta will not let anything prevent him from accomplishing his duty. He will lead the king and the kingdom to victory, although it is his final objective. Overview The game consists of four screens: an opening, four control screens and finally, a game screen. The player is placed on the top left side and sees the upper screen. Till the end of the game, the player controls the boy (Youta) by means of the upper left and the top left buttons. The boy can walk, fight with opponents and throw weapons. During the game, the player will come to understand that he controls and protects the King and his family, and the King is also connected to Youta. Although Youta is completely unconscious of it, he is also connected to an invisible country, called “Tenkar” or “Tenkar Island”. This island has its own secrets and puzzles, which influence the game. The island is inhabited by many strange creatures, strange events happen on it, very mysterious factors occur in the background, and through it all, you yourself, the player, travel there. If you encounter no impediment, you will face the final battle. There are also eight metasearch achievements. They are listed in the end of the game description. There is no need for any kind of strategy. If you do not have patience, you will get lost. After the game is over, a summary is given, telling you about the high score of the player. In this summary you will find out if you have met all of the metasearch achievements, and, of course, which score you reached.
