You can see all my games on Y’all remember how in Dark Souls III I called out the game’s unique combat system on this channel, right? Here I’m going to break it down. But before we get into all that let’s do a quick-and-dirty rundown of the mechanics. Most of this will be a refresher for those of you who have been playing the game for awhile, but it’s still a good idea to go over it. Alright let’s do this. The game is divided into an upper and lower body system, with mechanics that affect both of them. First, we have what’s called the Masterwork system. Once you’ve been around the game long enough, you can save up a few crafting materials from bosses to create your own Masterwork weapon. If you are playing solo, you can complete it pretty easily, but if you are playing with a friend (which you should be because the game is the best game ever) you’ll have to work together and co-ordinate attacks. Next we have the Parrying mechanic. Parry if used properly is one of the coolest mechanics in the entire game. It’s also one of the most widely deployed, and the reason I called it out on my channel. Parrying doesn’t change the damage of an attack, but it does force you to either move your weapon away from the attack or step away to avoid it
