but then theres the npcs in max paynes world. rockstar brilliantly crafted a game with a central protagonist and strong supporting characters who all feel fleshed out and real, and have a lot of character. throughout the game, you will meet various people who have been wronged in some way, and they have some interesting relationships with max. in the first game, the love interest of max, blanca, survives the attack on “maximal” and is almost killed. but she survives and changes max path somewhat. in max payne 3, its very clear to understand that max will not help anyone if its in his way. and, unlike manhunt 2, the story takes a darker turn and you have to rely on max in order to beat the game.
