i love the piano by kristan higgins this is a great book, the story is about a woman who wants to buy a piano, her husband leaves for work and she decides to go out and buy it herself. she finds a piano in the back of a shop that she wants to buy, so she walks in and tells the shop owner how much she wants to pay. she can only afford to give him half the money she has, but her husband has decided that he will leave her if she doesnt give him the whole amount. she doesnt want to lose him, and so she tries to win him back, by going out and buying a piano. and she does, but only half of what she has. she then takes the piano back to the shop and asks the shop owner to sell it to her. he tells her he cant, because it wont fetch enough money to cover the cost of the piano. and so they decide to give it to charity. and so they do. and that is the story of how she found the piano that she wanted to buy, but did not have enough money to buy it with. it is a great story and one that i found interesting. the story is told from the perspective of a woman who is trying to keep her husband by doing as he says, but in doing so is breaking her own heart. she is loving him, but not wanting him to leave her. she is torn in two different directions and that is the struggle she is living.
