I’m never too proud to admit that I completely blanked on what to do with my
characters. I had them be involved in a gang war… that wasn’t enough.
I erased my save data, restarted the game, and entered my old method of just
driving the car to the specified location. With some addition mods, the
mission was done. Too bad I forgot about the achievements for that.
I tried it a second time, this time with the goal of getting 100%
savegame completion. After 12 hours of playing, I had failed. I had not
managed to complete the main story yet, and if I tried to start a new story,
I would have to start over, which would result in missing out on
the achievements for some story levels.
My only thought was to start again with the story I was following. After
all the hours I put in, it was only fair that the saved data didn’t end on
a cliffhanger. I tried restarting the game, re-entering the AP Sentinel, and
the BP Forklift. Unfortunately, the game didn’t let me save on those.
Realizing it was futile to try again, I searched my savegames for a
savefile that was going to give me the best possible outcome. One savefile
that I had in the past was the zero save. Zero save is one that I had the
best body stats, the most money, and most special vehicles in the game.
I loaded the save and picked Zero out of the options menu, making the
game auto-select for me. I started the mission, the Buma by the
train station, with the intent of making the gang war a short one.
It took only a few minutes to clear the first mission, then I spent the rest
of my time driving around town. I had my best street racer, best sports
cars, best bikes, and best all around sex appeal, so I had no trouble
clearing the others. As there was no code to make the game autosave, I saved
the game manually whenever I felt like it.
After saving a couple more times, I sat and watched the three (?) hours of
cutscenes. By this time I had done the AP/UC3 and the various
character advancement missions, so I started doing the story missions
that weren’t complete. I had one save in the mission “Inferno” with
an AP Viper, so I went there to get a new save. I made a few different
saves in that mission before the one that was best. After saving up
and playing a bit more, I continued with the other missions for the
rest of the game. I had a mission waiting for me in “Hollywood” with a
BP Lamborghini, but only the AP version, so I saved that one manually.
I’m not sure why I felt the need to make so many saves, but that’s what I
did. You can’t save on these autosave saves, so I had to do it manually
all the way through the game. I will admit it, I’m no longer one to
have a lot of savefiles, but they were fun while they lasted.
Before I forget, I have to mention the other 5 100% SA of GTA SA. While I was going through my game saves, I managed to find these credits for five of them. The first is by h3achimano, titled 100% SA 1.1, which is a much cleaner and simpler save than the other four I’ve mentioned. After finishing the game, I realized it was definitely the easiest 100% SA I’ve done. Unlike the other four saves I mentioned, h3achimano didn’t really seem to use any Cheats during his 100% SA, and basically only touched some vehicles manually. I really liked this save, so he deserves a lot of credit for it. The second one I found was by priorelectronics , which is titled 100% SA 2.0. This is definitely the longest SA I’ve done, and it is the one I like the most. It actually took me 4 hours because I didn’t want to save the game anywhere. I really thought I was gonna spend about 6 hours playing this save, but I was able to finish it in only 3.5 hours of playtime. I put his save on here to prove that it’s not the longest one, and that there are certainly longer 100% SA’s out there. The third one I found was by sk-bielorussia , titled 100% SA 3.0. It took me 3 hours and 18 minutes to complete and be 100% SA. I enjoyed his save very much, which included using the Collectibles for the story missions. The fourth one I found was by softmodding.com , titled 100% SA 4.0. I wanted to share this one with everyone since it has actually deleted all cheats. If you read my 100% Mobile Version, you know that I use cheats to gain access to the vehicles in the game. While it’s possible to get the BF-400 without Cheats in SA, this isn’t possible if you use cheats. This one’s the only SA I’ve done where all special vehicles are obtained without any Cheats at all. Just driving around, you will find each one by yourself. The last one I found was by ruskoglish , titled 100% SA: Last Call. Being the only SA I’d found where all Cheats have been deleted, I didn’t figure I should add it to my 100% Mobile Version since this one was the last one I found on SA. However, I added it here since this was the only SA with all four story mission outcomes. It’s pretty awesome how this one uses every single option available to you from the menu. It’s a cool idea to combine all of those vehicles into an ultimate outcome. The main achievement of this one is actually getting all the special weapons from the Special Weapons Missions.
