in addition to their drug trafficking activities, the defendants supervised the distribution of crack cocaine to street level dealers within the ak houses crews network of street-level dealers, including by providing weapons to members of the crew to protect the crack cocaine the dealers distributed. defendants rodney robinson, a/k/a stretch, kaprie lambert, a/k/a pri, sharod bell, a/k/a rodo, and ian haylock, a/k/a e, supervised the distribution of crack cocaine to street level dealers within the ak houses crews network of street-level dealers, including by distributing firearms to members of the crew to protect the crack cocaine the dealers distributed. these distribution of firearms were made to protect the ak houses crews drug trafficking activities and to protect the ak houses crews members from rival drug traffickers. the guns were usually stored in the ak houses apartment complex.

the ak houses crew members also often sold crack cocaine in the vicinity of, among other locations, the area of the ak houses, the metro-north commuter rail station at east 125th street, and public school 30 at east 128th street.

the indictment charges that beginning in 2017, defendants van whitmore, a/k/a v-high, ronald nixon, a/k/a jeter, and barry williams, a/k/a bistro, operated a drug trafficking organization (the ak houses crew or crew), and that they conspired with and knowingly and intentionally distributed, and aided and abetted each other and others in the distribution, of crack cocaine in the eastern district of new york. the ak houses crew distributed crack cocaine in the vicinity of, among other locations, the area of the ak houses, the metro-north commuter rail station at east 125th street, and public school 30 at east 128th street.
