The Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) is a Malaysian government agency that was mandated to provide social security protections to employees in the private sector. The Ministry of Manpower regulates and certifies the number of foreign workers needed in the private sector and are still in demand.
As a Malaysian employer of a foreign domestic worker, the SOCSO has the responsibility of providing social security protections to your workers for as long as the period of employment. As of 1 June 2021, all employers of foreign domestic workers are required to register and make monthly contributions to the SOCSO for all employees in accordance with the Employee Welfare Act 1969.
The employer and his employees must be registered with the SOCSO no later than 30 days after the Law becomes applicable in the industry. To register, an employer must complete the Employer Registration Form, Borang 8A Report, along with the specified relevant documents.
The SOCSO will be notified of any changes in name, address, type of ownership, employer or employee status.
SOCSO has extended social security protection coverage of domestic workers in the private sector until June 30, 2021 at the current rate of RM50 per month, for all such workers irrespective of an employers level of contribution effective 1 June 2021.
For employers, this means any foreign worker that is employed within the Malaysian labour force and is not covered by any social security scheme.
There is a special treatment to the foreign domestic workers who are employed in the private sector to care for Malaysian elderly or persons with a disability. Specifically, this means that all foreign domestic workers irrespective of when they started working in the private sector will be eligible to receive social security payment since 1 June 2021.
For those foreign domestic workers who are employed in the private sector, SOCSO should be notified of any changes in name, address, type of ownership, employer or employee status.
borang socso 7 is the first version of borang socso that is specifically aimed to help indonesian citizens record what is happening in their city. borang socso 7 can be downloaded from the app store or the google play store. this is the final release of borang socso 8a. this version includes the following features/changes: added support for urlstreams and file urlsession. this means that the download logic now supports downloading directly from a url (see urlsession for more details) and also the ability to download multiple files into a single directory. added support for multiple network connections. improved detection of when a download is complete (e.g. when a connection is lost). added support for downloading files into directories that are not currently on disk (e. a directory that is created in memory). added support for cancelling a download that is in progress. added support for removing a download that is in progress. fixed various memory leaks (e. when a download request fails due to a network failure). fixed various cosmetic issues. this version of socso is designed for the mac and only supports files that are on disk. it will attempt to download files from the internet, or from local files on disk, as appropriate. if you need to download files that are not currently on disk, you can use the download_from_url function. see the download_from_url function for more details. this version of socso is still in its early stages, and a number of features are missing. the current plan is to release a version of this software that will support network connections that are not local (i.e. that are on the internet), allow the user to set a download directory, and allow the user to limit the number of simultaneous connections that can be used. 5ec8ef588b
