I recommend this movie for anyone who loves an intense and emotional story. This movie is very intense and you will find yourself checking your phone during the movie, but once you see that final scene you will get more out of this movie than you originally expected. Definitely a must watch.

This film is an adaptation of a book, which, in turn, is an adaptation of a popular book series, which I didn’t read or follow. In any case, the film is heavy on history, on the interactions of Europe’s aristocracy with the landed gentry and the emerging middle class. The movie is also heavy on sex (which I had forgotten was such a problem in the books, in my defense) and was actually a little on the boring side.

If you know a lot about 17th century France, you will enjoy the film. Otherwise, the movie could also leave you scratching your head (although I thought it was pretty entertaining). I have to admit, I was once a fan of the Twilight series but I don’t see the attraction of this movie.

if youre anything like me, quarantine seasons got you into movies. im not really sure why ive never been a big fan of movies since i have an obnoxiously short attention span but i guess i now have a lot more time on my hands and a lot less to do.

cocktail is a tamil movie released on 6 mar, 2020. the movie is directed by r. a. vijaya murugan and featured yogi babu, sayaji shinde, anjali and varalaxmi sarathkumar as lead characters. other popular actors who were roped in for cocktail are mime gopi, swaminathan and vijay sethupathi

the movie also focuses a lot on how women have been oppressed for a long time. there are a few scenes where women are being sexually abused, but that is made very clear right from the start. also, there is a fantastic scene where the two female characters decide to start a company to make makeup for women without inking their faces. this was such a great scene where women finally decided to start their own business. like i said, though there was a lot of potential, there was also a lot of potential written off way too early. the movie revolves around a woman who comes to chennai for a new job. well, new to her, anyway. what the movie focuses on is the familiar, the new, and how her journey affects everyone else. the film starts off quite strong, sending us into a throwback that places us right in the mindset of celebrities who get drunk and fuck up the entire course of. its a nice set piece and we know we are going to see how that puts the story together. the older man doesnt fail to carry out his role, and there are plenty of times where you will begin to question his motive. however, after a while, it is what cocktailwants us to imagine and then leaves us wondering if its a good or a bad thing. its a very human and relatable story and it is just how the director wants it to be. the story is also told with the usual suspects coming to the rescue and the plot goes from one point to another and weve seen it all before, but what makes this movie is the way it is told. its just an extremely natural story in regards to the nuances that everyone has been through and the way it is told puts the whole movie in a different light. there were moments that you will almost expect someone to start shooting at some point and that is one of those things thats a little bit unrealistic in movies. im sure there are some film fans who will hate cocktail for that, however its not realistic to expect a movie that is a short film to have a lot of action and a lot of things that are not realistic.
