This might be of some help, I work as a kernel developer and have written a custom kernel driver myself before, and a firmware/hardware update target for libusb based applications. I’m not sure if what I would try is relevant, the kernel code might also not be helpful and I’m not sure.
The problem is that the current Wbt_3052p.sys contains a different version number than the one in the setup. For example the Windows 10 version 1903 has 42.51.0.0 and the setup has 42.50.0.0 (xx.xx.xxx.xxx). The setup has the same version (42.50.1.0) as the kernel code (42.49.0.0). I have search for the source code in kernel.org, but could not find it. I haven’t found a way to update the kernel code that is used in the setup.

So I’ve been able to find the source code. It’s a kernel driver in the Wintypes folder. The version is 42.49.0.0 and the setup version is 42.50.0.0. The.inf file doesn’t show the version number. You’d have to open it up and search for 42.49.0.0. But this driver has a handful of errors. First off it can’t be compiled for any device. Windows 10 Version 1903 can’t even install it. It doesn’t register the hardware. It’s probably because one of the changes in the Wbt.sys file can’t be converted to the.inf. I’ll give it another look in a few days.

I can’t get my Medisense RCAD to work, it says I have the correct driver but the IR Transmitter doesnt work. I have the latest driver installed, let me know if I need to go back to a previous version.

I am trying to get my Tascam us-122 to function on my windows 8.1 computer. I have downloaded the driver that is available from the Tascam website but I have no idea how to install it.
