in selenes absence, the lycans have been raiding the eastern coven. selene goes to counter the attack, and is ambushed by luc, but they fall into a trap laid by semira; she throws selene into a waiting pool of blood, intending to rape her. selene slays luc, and is about to kill semira when gregor rushes in to stop her. before selene can attack, gabriel shows up and battles luc. selene runs to help gregor and is taken down by gabriel. after the lycans retreat, a battle ensues between semira and gregor; semira is forced to flee in the chaos. gabriel helps selene up and tries to call david, but their signal fails. selene runs after semira, and they end up trapped in a building together. however, semira changes, and she chases selene with a pair of scissors. selene leads semira through a maze and they emerge into an empty courtyard, where they face off. selene is bloodied and semira stabs her in the chest, only to have the wound self-heal. selene lunges for semira and in retaliation semira impales selene with the scissors and she collapses on the ground. selene fights back, wanting to kill her, but semira leaves her to die as she takes gregor’s sword to drain him of blood. selene draws her own blood, telling semira that she does not have to kill gregor to find eves blood. a mysterious figure enters the courtyard as selene is barely able to stand. when selene asks who it is, the other figure says she can find out when she needs to. selene collapses from blood loss and the figure speaks to her. the figure tells her that the battle is over, and he has come for the weapon to initiate the mass conversion. selene tells him that she was never going to give him anything and the figure tells her to wait for his return.
