The above is the first thing I did. I went from a 9.7 Gb db to 5.5 Gb. After that, I went back and repacked the db. I used a 7.4 Gb.rar file. The db was now 3.5Gb. After that I repacked the file with 9.5Gb and the db was now 2.2Gb. BTW, the step from 5.5 to 4.5 Gb was due to adding in the anime images. Going from 2.2 to 1.1Gb was due to the repacking of the smaller 3.5Gb db. All my other repacked files have never had this problem.
My only advice is to keep a close eye on the db size and repack at the first sign of trouble. I did this a couple of times, and it works. I recommend you do it everytime you add and change any package files. The above repacking took me some hours on my lapbook. Finally, a nice compressed db with disk space lost and some bytes gained. In my experience, disk space is always less valuable than bytes.
The other thing I did was add one of my amazon url in the amazon.urls section of the automations.yaml file. I have 2, a main with a few duplicate listings and another with movies that mirror the main but is just for vids from vod. It saves lots of space when something is already listed. The second one is the one I used for the repacked version. All my amazon link are now in this one and that has helped make the db smaller again.
If you set repeat_interval to 0 the automation will only trigger once during the day. If you set it to something other than 0, the automation will run once and wait for the time specified in the repeat_interval to be reached again. This might be 0.5 seconds, one minute, etc. Automatic recoding and repacking will only happen if the next time is set to some time in the future, such as during the night. Setting to later in the day can cause recording to be triggered during the time the camera is taking pictures.
