DIL VIL PYAR VYAR is from Shree Narayan Singh of the FilmyWorld group and he shot it on a Hyderabad film set. This really augments the film’s look, because the colouring and the vistas are typical of Hyderabad. There’s also a serious note to the film because we get to see what an Indian woman goes through over the years. And maybe this is where Anjana, a post- Bajirao Mastani film, could have been better as it could have strengthened the film’s relevance. The songs that have been composed are fairly good, but could have been saved from being ordinary. But this is not to say that the film cannot be liked by many for its unique concept, and a cast of genuine characters. This is not a new concept, but DIL VIL PYAR VYAR is the first film to come out with this concept. If the writing is good, the stories can be great, but there is no writing in this film, and a major set up is missing. If you have seen BOMAN Irani’s earlier movies like HATHYAR, PAROZ, AGNI, MABHAY, then you might know what I am talking about. This just cannot be termed a good film. It can only be termed as an average one. This director’s first movie, FOUR BACK WALKERS, bombed. After this he only worked on other short movies of a different kind and quit. But here, this movie by a director of his calibre, knocks you out with a punch from it. This is a story that needs a great director to create drama out of it. Boman Irani who is not a very new name in the film industry, at least not in Bollywood, chooses to be seen in an outstanding light with the help of Sanjay Mishra and Vishal Bhardwaj who are simply spectacular in this movie. 5ec8ef588b
