The NU1 is a great instrument, but it does have a couple of limitations that make it less versatile than its acoustic upright relatives. The biggest change is its lack of voicing. This is fine for a MIDI piano, but when things get complicated you have to use the midi capabilities. Also, the closest thing to a portamento is with the midi capabilities. I miss the real portamento. Like you can lock the velocity and hold it down and get a vibrato, but you cant really portamento into the pincy areas.
