This package includes the updated firmware for the running laCie devices from my website. Compatible devices, supported models: -> LaCie Diamond II (d2) -> LaCie Porsche I use the latest d2 and porsche ROMs provided by Play3 Free to update my software. You will need a serial number to run the software. The software is able to create a user profile on your hard drive if you have a properly set up laCie Desktop Creator. If you know how to set up LaCie Desktop Creator (I have not been able to get this to work yet) let me know. You will also need a LaCie portable hard drive for it to work correctly. After installation, the software will be launched on the user’s desktop. The user can download the latest version of the software at anytime. I have developed the software primarily to use my LaCie Porsche, but it will also update the firmware for the LaCie Diamond II and various 3rd party LaCie Drives. Only the path for the downloaded ROMs is set by the software, the names are for your convenience only. Known Bugs: -> If the computer does not have a serial number that the software can find a message will pop up, the message can be ignored. -> If the PSP is not connected properly when the program detects that it does not have a serial number the update fails and you will need to do a direct firmware update. -> The update fails if the PSP is not connected. Connected means that the device needs to be in the state of power up, I don’t know why. -> The LaCie Desktop Creator might cause the firmware update to fail as it does not allow activation without an external serial number -> There is a permission problem with the file protection of the device because of the Hot Image and ISO mounted on the disk image.
