Posted on 8/22/2018 Metroidvania meets Pokémon. This is clearly a fan made game and although the art is decent, it could have used better flash and storyboard work. It’s a unique game and worth playing if you want a first experience with the Elden Ring Product Key series. Its barebones and a bit unfinished, but hey it’s not always fun to deal with glitches, I was very excited to play the game and after 6 hours I’m still very impressed with it. I don’t hate it, its good enough. *Update as of 25/8/2018* There’s a lot of things to notice right now, starting with the texturing, to the level design and the gameplay, the story (which I’m not a part of yet), the character customization and the way the game actually manages to be an RPG like Zelda game all at the same time. There’s some strange things in here, like the vehicle upgrades, the background music and the random encounters that happen without any explication, but apart from the annoyances that a lot of games have right now (like item drops with no clear way to get more, camera and collision issues, bad collision detection with certain parts) it still works really well. There’s no real tutorial or anything like that, but the game feels smooth and does a good job at explaining the basics while going a bit deeper at times, the level design is a bit repetitive and okay but again a lot of light RPG. The combat is in general fun, and though it lacks a lot of stuff that would make it truly impressive, the core of it is really good, the rest is good too, the story is… well, it’s the same you can expect in most old-school JRPGs out there, but the weapons will not get boring very fast. There’s a bunch of stats that aren’t explained or is explained very slowly, and you’ll need to do a lot of things to gain experience points which are barely there, but a handful of maps and sidequests make up for all that and the game does not feel bloated at all.
