if you want to install fraps, youll need to download a program called fraprog.exe. this program will install fraps and the fraps beta for 64 bit operating systems, but will not install the fraps developer beta.
the following table lists fraps and other tools that are required to install. the fraps archive you download will automatically unpack the required files and place them in the fraps directory.

the fraps.ini configuration file is for windows xp and above and contains user-defined settings. you should be able to open and edit it in notepad and set the “pause_fps_overlay” option to 0. you should also add the following registry key:
select “create” from the menu that pops up. give the icon a name and then drag fraps.exe into the icon. once the icon is created right-click it and select “properties”. in the “properties” window that pops up click the “shortcut” tab. now click the “browse” button and navigate to where you want the icon to reside.
fraps has no tools that can capture streaming video. it is not possible to record streaming video or audio from online sources such as youtube and twitch. the function is unsupported and cannot be fixed without a large amount of coding.
