in the year 2004, rohit mehra was telling his son about the success of the experiment and how it will prove that sun and moon are part of our body. it’s a success and gets rewarded with a government job. nevertheless, rohit is fired from the job as his boss has no confidence in him. meanwhile, krishna’s wife priya leaves him to pursue her work. krishna becomes depressed but then he sees some children saving the children by flying the hijacked a plane. this happens several times and krishna discovers that the children can fly. he tries to speak to them but he is scared of the energy (lakshya) as his friend professor swanand tells him that it is dangerous for humans. krishna can fly which makes his father and friend to fire him from all the jobs. krishna decides to reveal his identity as “krrish” and save the plane. the goons shoot krrish but the scene concludes that krrish flies in the sky and takes an oath that he will save india from every crisis.

krrish is a superhero based in mumbai who’s existence is a menace. whenever he intervenes into a calamity, he saves the city by absorbing the lakshya which enables him to fly. he uses his superpower to take a decision where there is no alternative. the character of krrish was created by prasad mishra on the instructions of rakesh roshan while the film was being written, directed and co-produced by rakesh roshan.

rakesh roshan, known for films such as kaa, band baaja baarat, baazigar and as a director, a career spanning over three decades, starred alongside his son hrithik roshan in the film. the project was funded by the bollywood production house, reliance entertainment and was distributed by utv motion pictures. in development since 1995, the venture had been through numerous production delays and was delayed to 2005. it was originally based on the critically acclaimed novel, the blind tiger, by shobha de. it was conceptualised by a team from the hrithik roshan-directed zinda. the film is the sequel to the 2006 krrish, also produced and directed by rakesh roshan.
