note: even though the author is a long time windows user and can usually help with any computer problems, this post is an individual solution (i think) that might work on other systems and installers. the author did have a working win 10 computer.
first i want to say that i have an almost one year old sony mz-rh1, which is perfect to handle hi-md (as you will see later). i also upgraded my sonypad-f705 from 2.3 to 4.3 and the upgrades are working fine too. to get started with the driver you only have to download the netmd driver from the provided link and install it.
sonicstage restore software fixed to use the latest 1.0 version of the file system – we are one step closer to our goal. i had also set some options in the menu when i first launched the software, and disabled the sleep mode. i also think it would be a good idea to change the default folders to a more appropriate location and disable the detection of other devices.
sony has stopped licensing their products and software development to third parties, but this should not be a reason to buy the newer mdw1.0 version. the product is still released under a non-commercial, freeware license, which means that the developer does not receive any personal compensation for the development of the product and that he has to keep it free for all users.
in the case where you have problems when using the new mdw, please report in this forum thread . try to find a technical error message from the screen before you start the program: if you can’t find anything, you can post your own report.
