the health of brawl busters bots is the most problematic part of the game. theyre basically robots used for automated farming. every game only comes with 50 npcs to fight, and theyre meant to die in only a few seconds. this was because theyre extremely advanced, and were meant for tournaments.
brawl busters main innovation is the ai. theres a ton of if/then logic that keeps the ai off their toes as they endlessly circle around the map. the new npcs arent quite as advanced as the old npcs. theyre still fairly basic and should also die more easily. surprisingly, their exploding adds a bit of strategy to the game. most of the time you can just run in and explode your own npc. this in-turn keeps you from walking in and killing them accidentally. while it might not sound like much, its a good change. its always nice to have the strategic element taken out of a fighting game. no more relying on luck.
the controls in brawl busters are very similar to team fortress 2. this means that theyre great for those who play fps games. the game can be played in two modes (two ways), either by mouse click or by joypad. the joypad is simpler and easier to control, but feels a bit off. combat can be based on movement, attack, blocking, or escape buttons.
as for the combat, its a 3v3 match with one to one team battle. i spent over 30 minutes just watching the matches and counting to 10. i could barely even begin to tell you the results. everyone was at least a power level of 20. depending on the weapon, you can use either the charge attack or a regular weapon. the charge attack is a nice feature in which it allows you to attack an opposing npc while being healed by your teammate.
