hello, i have a asus g74sa laptop and i wanted to use the touchpad to turn off the laptop because i was sitting on my bed and had fallen asleep while listening to music. but when i started to turn it off with my finger, i accidentally touched it instead of the volume controls. no matter what i did, the touchpad wouldn’t come back. i had to restart my computer several times in order to use it again. so my question is can i fix this problem even after closing my laptop?
i just got my laptop yesterday. i bought it on newegg with ubuntu pre installed. its an asus vg-302cxi with 8gb ram, 2x 1080p monitors and a keyboard/mouse. its been working great for the past 4 days until suddenly today when i start up, all i see is a black screen. normally ubuntu loads directly to the login screen(where i enter my password to get to my desktop) but this time all i see is a black screen, there are also some noises coming from it but that is it. i run it with the intel igp. any ideas?
