7. now, were going to dive into a loop. we all know that the freecad family of cad (computer-aided design) programs makes all kinds of great shapes. while these programs may be great for making shapes, they do not make great after effects plugins. luckily we have a plugin that makes creating loops a breeze. here we are going to create a loop by using the 3d control points tool. if you have not used the 3d control points, you may be interested in our previous blog in this series.

if you cannot determine exactly the curvature of the path, you can click and drag again after releasing, which will leave the path on the same direction as before, and you can then determine the next point.

we can then click on the last anchor point and by using the control points (another way to think of these is marks), we can make changes to the path between the two points. for example, if we want to begin the path at the corner of the anchor point, we click on the anchor point and click again, the control point will appear. drag to the left or right a few pixels and now our curve is starting from there.

the control points can also be used to adjust anchor point size. this can be done by either placing points along the path, or by moving the control points. for example, we can tell the anchor point to grow and become larger by clicking and dragging one or more times with the mouse or pen. select anchor point and move like the control points, the anchor point can also be used to move the point. for example, if we put the mouse over the anchor point, you can see a white box (arrow) appears, indicating a mouse click. move the mouse to the left or right and the anchor point will move in that direction. after moving, simply click with the mouse again to get rid of the box. do the same with all four sides of the anchor point. insert a layer, and then select it. select the lens flare option. click in the area you want to cause the flare. press the add button. if you turn on the live lens filter preview, youll see a lens flare draw in place in the 3d space. if you want a completely different effect, choose a different option from the gallery of lens flare effects. when youre finished, turn the preview off and the transition will occur. repeat this process for several layers. then use the move anchor point tool to align the layers to each other. youll move the frame of the image. hover your mouse over the anchor point, and a drag handle appears. click and drag the frame to the desired position. you can move anchor point in or between 3d objects. the 3d anchor point tool enables you to position and move anchors (frames) between an object and non-3d layers. anchor points can also be dragged directly to the lower-left corner of an object, edge layer, or section. you can also use one of three parameters to adjust anchor points in and between 3d layers. 5ec8ef588b
