The Unrivaled Network settled with The Unrivaled Network and the 2 programmers as they were caught red-handed with reverse-engineering and distribution of Game Maker. However, the Unrivaled Network states that they stopped reverse-engineering and distribution of Game Maker in 2010, and that only the YoYo Games code was distributed on the net illegally. YoYo Games say that their lawsuit against the Unrivaled Network was a response to the illegal distribution of their code on the net, and not to the reverse engineering or distribution of Game Maker. YoYo claims that there were no issues prior to 2010, and that it was the actions of the Unrivaled Network that led to their lawsuit against the two programmers. There is no evidence to support this, however, as The Unrivaled Network actually ceased their activities in the middle of 2009.

Here is the actual hex editor view in VIM showing the bytes located at 0x7d23 in the Game Maker file.
