Maeghan Harvey grew up in Savannah, GA, and has been a professional musician for more than 20 years. She is currently the music director at Goodwood Plantation, a bed & breakfast located in Savannah, GA. She is a former band leader for a full service restaurant and nightclub. She has played in bars, dance halls, and festivals throughout the southeast for many years. She has played piano, trumpet, flute, and vocals in many musical forms, including opera, marching band, and opera. She takes pride in being able to play everything from hymns, to rock, to gospel, to classical, to traditional jazz in different contexts. She has recorded for the US Postal Service in Savannah and the Golden Road Real Estate Tour, and has performed for a variety of venues on and off the plantation.

Christopher Scruggs has been playing music since 2001. He began piano lessons at the age of 5 and had his first opportunity to play the piano at the age of 11 in a classroom setting. By the time he was a high school senior he was leading his high school jazz band, followed by his private lessons. He continued his studies in professional performance and received his Bachelors of Music degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Georgia at a time when the school was still in the middle of the campus consolidation. After UGA, he went on to receive his master’s in Piano Performance, masters in Jazz Performance, and finally, a masters in Choral Performance. At the time of his graduation, Christopher was the top jazz pianist on the roster of the Athens Symphony Orchestra.

Tina Panacek is a studio graduate of the Pittsburgh Ballet Academy. While in college Tina was a member of the dance groupTeam Pittsburgh, which traveled to competitions in Florida and Kentucky. After graduating from the Pittsburgh Ballet Academy, Tina went on to perform many performances with the ballet companies of Atlanta, Dallas, and Pittsburgh. She credits her experiences with the ballet companies in Denver and Pittsburgh with her confidence in this area. Tina has also been a part of the Pittsburgh Opera company as a featured soloist and currently performs with JPAS as a performer in their production of Cinderella. Samuel Welch is returning to the JPAS mainstage after a successful tour with Norman’s Newsies! Welch has performed all over the country, including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, the New Orleans Country Music Festival, and most recently, the kick-off to the 2012-2013 South Carolina Jazz & Heritage Festival. Earlier this summer, he was seen as a dancer in the 2011 Oklahoma Jazz & Heritage Festival production of Newsies! He is grateful to the University of Central Oklahoma and to JPAS for the opportunity to return and share this amazing show with audiences again. His other theatre credits include Young Frankenstein as Daryl, Adaptation as Wyatt, Along Came Polly as Sparky, and Sadie as Tinkerbelle, the Cowardly Lion. He has also appeared on stage in productions such as Contact at NOLA Arts and Margaret, You Can Count On Me at the Alhambra Playhouse. The director of an all-female West African dance troupe, Mahole Bellis equally proficient on the percussion, piano, and hand bells. As a percussionist, Mahole Bell will play the rest of the musicians. She has worked in many different configurations, including classical and popular dance and musical theater. Currently, Mahole Bell is working with the Dorothy Martyna Stage Company (NYC) on site percussion for their production of The Wiz. As an educator, Mahole Bell has worked in schools and organizations throughout the country. Her most recent and successful venture is the Miso Art Project, which encourages the introduction of Japanese culture into today’s classrooms through art. 5ec8ef588b
