In the above Ayat of Quran, Allah reveals that the people will (again) go astray and deny the previous revelation of the prophet Mohammad (pbuh) and will not believe (even) their tongues, after having learned knowledge from his prophet. This condition is surprisingly the same as it is in present days. Considering the fact that Quran is not the complete divine revelation, chances of such people not believing would be very high. Yet Allah in Quran asks them to believe and establish in their confirmation, something known as Taurat. So, from the context of above verse,it can be assumed that though Quran is not the final and complete revelation, yet it will be the complete revelation to Muslims. Therefore, for the people of the time, Taurat and Injeel had to be mentioned separately. Considering the fact that Al-Injeel is affirmed to be the most preserved divine book for Muslims, its important to take a look at the Taurat. The most accepted version of Taurat is the King James version which is a translation of Taurat in English language. To quote Albert Einstein about the Taurat, the full meaning of the Taurat is declared, and few verses are left out (e.g : God is one, God alone with no partners), a book of verses it is.

In the previous chapter, we discussed that the request to establish taurat in above verse was unprecedented. If Allah is asking for the establishment of his message, how can he ask the same thing from the people who have no previous experience? Even the simplest thing will be difficult for such people. Also, is it a thing that Quran itself talks about a thing and ask them to pay attention to it? As the text is written in present tense, we would strongly assume that some time in the future, it will be directed to the people. On the other hand, if the request was intended to be valid at the time of revelation then why it was addressed to the prophet Mohammad, whereas he was not alive at that time. Obviously, the request was a wish, and even by mentioning the name of the person we can deduce that, the things were not in his knowledge and we have to wait for future. It is a fact that the Taurat was not meant to be a previous divine revelation to anybody or anything. It was meant to be a advice book which may be read only in presence of the prophet Mohammad. The first half of the Taurat was revealed to Mohammad in 610 a.d. It was followed by the second half in 619 a.d. The second half of Taurat was not translated to the Western world until the early eighteenth century.
