As some of you may already know I’ve been doing some work on the SX200 for the past months, together with Piotr Drabik (the guy who really set the stage for the SX200 in the first place), and we’ve been working on getting the SX200 up and running again. We’ve been having a lot of fun with this and I think it looks quite awesome; the buggy is still a bit rough around the edges, but you’ll see, it’s coming along very well.
So without further ado, here’s our first real technical preview of the SX200 in a concept form.
The SX200 is based on the same design as the TX90, but I’ve taken a lot of liberties that I’m more than happy to share with all of you.
The SX200 is based on a 6-axis base platform with the same great FRC-4 – 6D motion controller as the TX90, and like the TX90, the SX200 will also be made available in multiple different configurations (base-only, with the flight controller included, with an additional flight controller board and an additional 3-bladed prop etc).
The SX200 will be available with both your choice of motors, servos, and ESCs, with the same maximum thrust as the TX90. The SX200 will also include a unique with 4 huge brushless motors, and 2 SPIDER ball bearing 250mm swash plate and 6mm thrust bearing. We’ll be offering 2 configurations for the SX200:
SX200-M1 – Powered with a 9.7A, 5v lipo with a choice between 1S, 2S, and 3S LiPo’s. The 3S option of the SX200-M1 should provide around 40-45 degree of lift and is therefore ideal for beginner pilots.
SX200-M2 – Powered with a 10A lipo with a choice between 1S, 2S, and 3S LiPo’s. The 3S option of the SX200-M2 should provide around 60-65 degree of lift and is therefore ideal for more experienced pilots.

The last time I didn’t cry during a TV show was season 2 of Orphan Black. The sad thing is that you can’t control your reaction. Every time I’m able to hold back and not cry, the decision to cry in front of the camera is taken out of my hands. As a result, I’ve recently been letting tears flow on a regular basis while watching TV. Here’s the last 6 episodes of Orphan Black: Saturday, January 13 at 10pm ET on BBC America. All those characters you grew to love are coming together again to form their own family — the Dyad Institute. The week’s issue of Wired had an article about that which claims that Dyad’s goal is to create “the ultimate human being.” God, I hope they get the hell away from that eventually. However, this definitely is a step in the right direction. For the last six seasons we’ve watched the lives of these clones evolve. We have watched Peter develop into a slightly more human version of himself, Sarah become more rebellious and Kira change from a terrified and somewhat humorless child into a strong-willed young woman. The themes of this show have been immense. They’ve dealt with issues such as the ramifications of putting humans on display, the way science and technology is used to do things that are unethical and the power struggle between doctors and religion. The writers and the actors constantly challenge the audience with the morals of their characters. That has kept them changing and evolving. However, the theme of the clones having different relationships with the same group of friends and family is also a really important one. The reactions between Sarah and Alison were initially one of the show’s most prominent examples of this. Where Sarah’s reaction to Alison was often one of jealousy, Alison’s reaction to Sarah was one of love. The two sisters weren’t friends, however they had a strong bond. Alison didn’t treat Sarah like a long lost sister that she’d never seen for years. She treated her as a full partner in this Dyad Institute family. The same thing happened with Kira and Felix. Kira shared a bond with Felix, however the bond was based on the context of her birth. She has many brothers and sisters, but she is the only one not related to her by blood. Felix, on the 37a470d65a
