Blackguards: Untold Legends is a fantasy/sword & sorcery/dark fantasy role-playing video game developed by Nival and published by Activision, through the Treyarch franchise. Treyarch has confirmed the game will be released on April 23, 2020. Gameplay Blackguards is a tactical role-playing game, in the traditional sense. The player must manage a party of characters, as well as the various resources on an overworld map in an attempt to save a nation from decline. The overworld map is designed to look like the map of a theme park, with a pit with water and lava at the center through which the player character can be carried by a variety of creatures (by jumping on the creature and placing it inside the pit). The player is able to talk to characters in-game for information and to imbue potions (primarily spells) on the creatures for use elsewhere. The game is similar to the fantasy-themed interactive movie The Walking Dead and the Diablo series of games.
